hello'
our 6 year old, american std- 5 ton, home a/c unit is not having a problem cooling home. the problem is the blower in the attic keeps starting and stop every few seconds. changed temp settings up and down nothing helps. a/c man is saying nohing is wrong with system. only thing he can think of is the control board, $700. any input.???? suggestions?? thanks rp |

per a/c repair person, all system check out fine. of course the blower would not start and stop while he was here. the am std unit model number is either
4a7a2018-060b1000aa or 4a7a4018-060b1000aa per invoice it's a 5 ton unit. everything was carrier (controls in the attic?) until unit outside went bad and it was replaced with the am. std. best i can understand the units controls in the attic have not been changed. did have a board go bad @6 years ago and it was $700 to replace the board. thanks for input. rp |
