I rarely  see anyone with Jr. After their name and certainly no one going by Junior as their nickname

My dad was a Jr. And it was his nick name.

I blame it on the decline of traditional naming conventions.

Can we name a few kids John, James and Charles?   Or does every boy have to be named skylar, hunter and Colby???!!!!

I've been saying this for a while now, that cute name is fine for an infant.. but not for a man.

My boy is Christopher Jr.  He is 3.

Whats his boy going to be? Will it be the third? Hows this work. I am trying to start a tradition here!

I am the III

Do it.

On the electronic board that lists people's name in the OR. Mine looks pretty good
Had surgeons comment as well as nurses.

I know several Jr's, and a couple of guys that go by Junior among certain friends.

I was a Junior until my father died. When he passed, so did the suffix.

My dad stopped putting Jr after his name when his dad died.

My dad is dead, does that mean I stop putting III?

I don't know honestly the correct convention

As is mine. Yes his son would be III, as I hope my grandson is named.
