I bought one... if you have back issues - you should as well. I automatically dismiss ANYTHING that has an infomercial... normally. We have been doing a LOT of SCBA training recently and I have been wearing that pack quite a bit.... as a result, my Army back issues have returned. I needed to do something to help without the use of narcotics and I don't think chiropractors can "fix" much. I figured I would take a chance. Anyway - I've had it assembled for a couple hours and I find myself doing 1 minute bursts of full inversion pretty frequently. I felt relief after my first attempt... this thing is great. Build quality exceeded my expectations and assembly takes about 45 minutes. If you have back problems... I recommend this contraption. Price from Amazon was $299 shipped w/ prime. EDIT: This is the one I bought... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0084FD94C/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ![]() |

Quoted: Saw one at a used sporting goods store....may have to head back for it! Is it big man approved? I bought the EP-560. You are good to go to 300 ponds, per the manufacturer. Above 300, they recommend the 9xx series. Those run about $100 more. That being said - this thing is quite sturdy and I would expect that you *could* go higher. A company wants to be lawsuit-proof.. so, the weight rating is likely about half of what it is capable of handling, IMO. |

Quoted: what specifically are your back problems? Good question... "it hurts everywhere" is not a valid complaint ![]() So.. I'm 39 and during the first 1/2 of my life, I didn't know what a proper lifting technique was. Move forward to Army times - humping a combat load-out and my medic bag over shitty Iraq took a toll. 8 hour missions in IBA on MRAP seats didn't help, either. My gear weighed about 80 pounds and I weigh 160... not complaining, just stating. Anyway - specifically, my lumbar and upper back just ache all of the time. So far, this thing is addressing those issues. I am hoping that as time goes on - it will allow compressed vertebrae to re-align. (this is a self-diagnosis). |

Quoted: I have mid-back issues right between the shoulder blades. Inversion tables did little or nothing. Laying face down on a yoga ball on the other hand extended my lease on life. I get that as well... including numbness in my right arm if seated at a desk and using the computer. That is a muscle issue and I think I am going to combine my inversions with your yoga ball to nail it all. Good feedback on that, man... EDIT: I have been known to have one of the kiddos walk on my back, while I lay facedown. I understand that is REEEAAALLLYY bad, but it worked sooo well. Hopefully the yoga ball can replace that activity. I have not had the yougins do that in quite some time... due to what I heard about the badness of it. ![]() |

Next day report: I think I hurt myself, being all gung-ho on this thing. I was really sore this morning... especially between my shoulder blades. The good news is: I inverted to 40 degrees and have negated last night's fuckup.I will discontinue full inversion for the time being. My body isn't ready. |
