| In conversations with friends and family, I refer to the this piece of shit as Barry Soetoro. That's the name he grew up by, and it appears he only changed it to "Barack Obama" once he thought a more ethnic-sounding name would get him college scholarships and make him more interesting. Is there a reason no one here uses his original name? |

For the same reason I call Hitler, Hitler and not Schicklgruber. Why I call Stalin, Stalin and not whatever unpronounceable name he really had. Same for Lenin, Che Gueverra, and others.
It just makes it clearer which Socialist dictator we are talking about to use their popular name. After all, how many people know who William Blythe is? |

"BS" or "BO" WTF difference does it make? I guess I'm reluctant to give him even an inch. Apart from being a socialist and plotting the demise of our country as we know it, the guy created a false persona and sold himself to the American people on a heap of lies. He can't even write his own life story without making shit up and relying on Bill Ayers to paint him as an interesting character that people would want to read about. He's a fraud through and through, and his invented name is a part of it. |

Who is this man? http://www.addictinginfo.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/MUHAMMAD-ALI.jpg ___________________________________________________________________________ ("Didn't you want to talk to someone from the government? You can call me ArchAngel."--Michael Colsmith Briggs III, (w,stte), Airwolf, "Desperate Monday") Don't mix apples and oranges. That's Cassius Clay, who renamed himself Muhammad Ali for legitimate (religious) reasons. Do I agree with the politics and principles of his religion? No, obviously not, but that guy's a true believer. The person we're talking about is a fraud whose sole intent is to game the system at any cost. That includes changing his name to make a piece of garbage seem like a diamond in the rough. Clay/Ali is a man, a champion who took on all-comers and beat the hell out of most of them. It's damn-near sacrilege to compare him to Barry. |

I knew a few Viet Nam vets who saw him as a coward, a man who converted and changed his name to avoid the draft.....and they called him Clay to their graves. But between my example (though this direction was not my original intent) and your response, we have rather, if unintentionally, come to a good point. It does come down to how the eye of the beholder sees a person. __________________________________________________________________________ ("Mr. Holmes...or whatever your real name is...,"--police detective, (w,stte), "Time After Time") |
