I found some .223 Tula for $6 a box at a gun store yesterday. They had many different kinds and all priced halfway decent, most of them under $10 a box. At another shop, I came across 500rd packs of Federal American Eagle for $299. This shop is usually a little higher on ammo prices, but their guns are generally priced pretty fair. Also the other day, The local Walmart also got a case of 20rd WWB 5.56 in. I made my purchase at 8:30 and I got the first 3 boxes sold out of that case. It was stocked at 7am. They had also had .22's in but they went to the crowd of 15 or so people that show up every morning around 6 or 6:30 to wait for the ammo to be stocked . There was also some 250rd bulk packs of the Remington UMC 40S&W and some WWB 100rd value packs of 45ACP left when I made my purchase as well.
Seems like the alot of the stuff around here is starting to calm down. You can walk into most shops and find .223 and 5.56, and since it is staying in stock, prices are starting to drop on it as well. The only stuff that's still crazy is .22 and 9mm. 45ACP is still kinda crazy, but it's starting to slow down, and can be had. 40SW never really was short. Revolver cartridges are also starting to show back up and the shops that carry reloading supplies are even starting to get components back in stock. Hopefully this is the light at the end of the tunnel... |
