If you need it, FO. If not, leave it lay, and let another person in need have it. (Or, one of the LGS can then sponge it up and sell it at an inflated price.) IBT "Walmart is an evil organization for putting stickers on the boxes of ammo" posts. I don't really need it but it was there so I pulled the trigger, so I think you are right, let others take get some too. Quoted:
There's a recall on some of that stuff... Check the lot numbers. Oh thanks for the heads up I will check into this. |

A few months back at Mal-Wart I grabbed a box of WWB .45 (Q4170A1) not that I needed it, just to avoid busting into my stash.
When did Winchester start getting it form the Czech republic? (small print below Olin) Why ? When? I guess I missed that memo. Now what if imports are banned ? |

Walked by the ammo at walmart yesterday. 2 boxes of 270 win. 4 boxes of 22 short. 2 boxes of 20ga bird shot They were completely out of ANY 12 gauge ammo - not even any bird shot.
And it has looked like that for weeks. If they do get ammo, it must go before it gets to the shelf. . |

I know I know I'm sorry for doing this, but is this Winchester 5.56 at $12.27 a box worth going back later for 3 more boxes? I haven't bought single boxes of AR ammo since the panic, but was shocked to see any ammo on the shelves I impulse bought. They probably still have 75 boxes of the stuff that, I would guess, will last until sometime this afternoon. http://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/332748/51487.JPG id say no... my lGS had tons of 5.56mm for $12.99 a box. sad when it should only be about $6.00 max. |

I would not buy it. That is 61 cents per round. Federal 5.56 is around 41-42 cents per round at Walmart. I use 35 cents per round as my target price for .223 Yeah that's around what I bought bulk before the panic but now you can't get any so since I actually saw ammo on the shelf I bought some. I know it is expensive but since they had it I bought and since I was limited to 3 boxes it doesn't hurt as much as buying 1k rounds at .61 cents. I don't think I will be going back for more now the shock of seeing ammo on the shelf as I still have a small stash. |
