Quoted: That would be $4-5K damage as an insurance adjuster would look at it. Yep. It's probably totaled. If you don't want to claim it, you could probably slap some used parts on there for less than a grand. There's a chance it tweeked the bumper mounts, which would make it harder to do yourself. |

Insurance will hose ya on that one.
At least you did it. My wife got rear ended today and the fucking trash drove off. Just got the rear bumper but still pisses me off. No way I will clam the shit and end up paying more for my insurance because of that trash though. |

thanks guys Don't listen to that. If this would be your first claim and don't have a lot of traffic tickets, you'll be fine. Everyone on here always claims the worst. |

Was there a police report filed and a case number given ? Don't listen to me, just trying to help. I appreciate the input, I walked up to the fence owners door and told him about the damage. He said it was no biggie and he would fix it, no Police report filed as I was the only vehicle involved. I basically just hit a fence post because I was on wet mud and couldn't stop |

You would be much better off financially if you fixed the truck yourself. You stated that the radiator was bent, in they eyes of an insurance adjuster that would mean a damaged rad support. KA-CHING ! |

Had a POS (on East Loop 820 in Fort Worth, if this was you, pm me) slam on his brakes in front of me this morning, trying to get me to hit him today I was more pissed at myself afterwards for not controlling my feelings (rage) and anticipating better.
10yrs or so ago my house was broken in to. They made off with some things. After doing the math on insurance going up, deductible, pay out, it would have been a wash to claim, so I ate it (plus the POLICE were about as useful as a slug in a salt mine) |

You handy at all?
Get a portapower, shove core support back out, replace radiator, replace front bumper with tube bumper, add cheap, rhino lined aftermarket hood, grille off ebay or the like. Done. Cost you about a grand and you are back on the road. That is what I would do. |

How's your frame? That's a rust-years taco...might be fucked already anyway.
Hammer that hood out, fix the mechanical problems, and drive it until the wheels fall off. When I crashed mine, I just bought an ARB bumper instead of paying the deductible. Everything else was an easy fix. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

| lady rearended me in my Jeep one time. adjuster came out and gave me a check for $800 after he put everything in his computer. bought and aftermarket tube bumper for $300 and made a few bucks. stronger bumper for cheaper than what i had. look around for the aftermarket stuff. will be stronger and cheaper than getting other stuff painted. |

Car-Part.com you can probably find one in your area, same color and everything... just bolt it on. Honestly, it's a truck, I wouldn't even fix that. It's still mechanically sound... sol fuck it drive on! |
