History:
I bought my house about 3 years ago. The past two springs/summers I have battled about 4-6 wasp nests each year. They build em, I spray em, they fall off and die, I knock it down, they build a new one. Ad nauseum. What says the hive, any semi-permanent solution? |
Diesel fuel....... Just fucking with ya I give'em the ole shot of WD40 which effectively kills their asses in place then just leave the nest up for a while kinda like the ole hang a crow from the tree trick. Hey it works for me and it's fun too..........Try it and watch the bastards just kinda lock up and stay stuck, now if it's a large nest some will fall off

I almost have the same problem, except I kill maybe 4 to 6 wasps a day inside my house.
I'll be minding my own business, when all of a sudden I have some pissed off wasp dive bombing my head, chasing me around the house while I spray raid and throw a flip-flop at it. So needless to say, I feel your pain. Wasps suck. |

One of the guys at work was down at Charleston SC for his wedding anniversary... His wife wanted to take a carriage ride... He obliged her.
As the carriage passed by some of the old plantation style houses on Market street or whatever it was, the guide explained that a lot of the homes had the ceilings over the porches and underside of the eaves painter blue. The blue supposedly was to keep wasps and hornets from setting up nests... They would fly in looking for a home and think "oh, blue... Must be the sky..." And move along. I don't know if it works or not. Sounds good I guess. |
