Does anyone on the forum own one or ever had to purchase one before? I  dont get any service inside of my house with ATT. My contract isnt up until Sept., and I dont feel like paying 150.00 for a early termination of my 2 year contract. I am sure I can get out of my contract by bitching and complaining, but I have a family plan on this account.

So I would have to pony up money for 2 more phones with a new provider So basically I wanted to know if anyone has one, are they worth it? And is there a place to get them cheaper?

I own one and now get 4G in my house now but your results could vary.
No idea if you can get one cheaper as I didn't think it was an outrageous price when I was getting mine.
The reception issue for me was my house and not the service from ATT.
Is it the same issue for you as well? Do friends or relatives with another service have better reception in your home? What phones are they using if they have better reception?

Samsung Infused and a Iphone 4 but have zero to one bar of service in the house. Not able to make or except calls. We are able to text from time to time by pretty much sitting the phone next to the 2nd floor window

Sprint gave me not one, but two, for free.  Ask.

I thought I covered that in my post, but ATT said they no longer provide customers with  free micro cells.

Own four that I use at various locations. Worth the money to me. They frequently have a rebate. Can be had on eBay, too. ETA: must have high speed Internet to work

A couple of our customers have them, and like them pretty well. Similar situation to you, one had a contract that they didn't want to pay an ETF on, the other was very happy with AT&T in general but couldn't get a signal at their home.

I have deployed a few, they work pretty well if you have decent Internet.

Look into Signal Boosters.
The folks at Solid Signal will let you know if their gear can help.  Won't help if there is no signal available 'outside' of the house.
