So Arkansas is going to become the fifth state in the country to have constitutional carry later this year.
There have been a number of states that have passed "Second Amendment Protection Acts" which are nice but empty gestures really. Whats it going to take to get the pro-gun states to finally pull the trigger? Is Arkansas going to be a catalyst for the southeast? Doesnt it just make sense that if a state is open carry there shouldnt be much of a stretch here? If states want to send a message there is really NO BETTER WAY. |

Well good. It was considered in Kentucky but it got shelved. Would finally having a state in the middle of the country finally push a state like Kentucky over that edge? It might, but common law is still pretty strong in Kentucky. Open carry is legal and very common. I dont know if our state would over turn common law in favor of unpermitted concealed carry. It would be one of the few instances where I would support amending common law. |
