Worth the $1800? They operate out of VA beach and I'm stationed here now.
Thinking about perhaps picking one up in the near future. What are your guys thoughts on it? |

SBR or nothing at all. But I'd you want something that uses glock mags and shoots .45 I would take a look at a glock 21 Not a fan of Glocks. Have all of this .45 acp ammo but sold my 1911 that used it. Figured it would be cool to have something like the Vector. |

I have yet to shoot it. IMO I like them based off of looks but for the money no way. I could definantly find something better to spend my money on |

I've always thought it was a cool gun and I wouldn't mind having one but $1800 just seems like a lot for a current production pistol caliber weapon. Not to mention it's .45 only. I don't think I'd get a pistol caliber long gun that wasn't 9mm. Except .45 suppresses sooooooooo easily and effectively. |

I would think the 9mm would too if you SBR it. 147gr 9mm is easily subsonic... out of most handguns I think. I would think the 9mm variant (which I just read they're developing) would be quieter due to a smaller opening in the suppressor (or at least I read this somewhere once).

I don't have one and have never touched one but It is in the same category as the PS90. It needs to be an SBR just to be worth it to have, and a happy switch it where it would really shine.
I have read that the pistol version if the Kriss is easier to SBR than the rifle. Just buy a stock for it rather than cutting an expensive barrel. food for thought. |

| Actually, the fact it's .45 really attracts me to it, but the cost and difficulty of trying to find reasonably priced mags, cost and availability of ammo, etc. makes my think " why not just buy a couple of glocks, SBR them and either get a Roni Stock or whatever and still be cheaper, or Vector Uzi and caliber conversion. |

It's a huge bore size and you still get a lot of pop even with a big, wet can. (That's what she said?) 147gr 9mm is quieter in many applications, and cheaper to feed. If you need both energy and suppression, then .30 rifle class subsonic is the way to go. IMHO. The advantage of .45ACP is in handguns. Any ammo you can find is still subsonic, so you don't have to be particular about what you feed it. You can use the same can on all your handguns, and if you already have a 45 can, then it can do double-duty on a pistol caliber carbine as well. The best 3 choices for a first can are .22LR, .30 rifle, or .45 pistol. Which you choose depends on what you have, what you want, and in what order. If I were going to get into the game right now, and I wanted to start with pistol calibers first, I'd get a .45 Osprey, a 9mm M&P CORE, and a .300BLK AR upper. $1800 gets you most of the way there and is the better choice than a Vector. But if you already have the other stuff, and you want it... I'm not going to tell anyone not to buy a gun, you know? |
| I have never shot one but the KRISS seems really cool except for the fact that the magazine is a 13 round Glock mag with an aftermarket extension to increase the capacity to 30 rounds. It doesn't seem like a good design for a mag. Can any KRISS owners comment on the mag design and its durability/reliability? |

Keep in mind you will void the warranty if you swap it yourself. Kriss charges $330 for the conversion of a pistol. Takes them about 3-5 weeks. Black Label Tactical sells/sold the SBR version. |

In my experience, 45 isn't easier to suppress that 9mm. I've fired suppressed pistols (SIG, 1911, Glock, Walther 22) in 22 LR, 9mm, 45 with both kinds of suppressors, I've fired FA 9mm AR style carbine suppressed, I've fired a suppressed 300BLK SBR, I've fired 223 ARs with suppressors, I've fired the FA KRISS unsuppressed, I've fired a FA PPsH41, a FA P90 suppressed and unsuppressed, a FA Sten unsuppressed, a Uzi unsuppressed, a FA AR, and more I'm forgetting right now. You? |

They are gay Get a Colt 6933 Actually I've always thought AR-15 pattern sub guns were a little gay. I mean they're readily available and probably easier on the wallet than other guns on the market, but it's just weird to me. I don't have anything against anybody that has one. They're just not for me and I'd never buy one unless I was in dire need of an SMG type weapon and had a low budget. There are some SMG type guns that I'd buy an AR-15 over though like an UZI (I know some people love these, but I'm not a fan of grip fed long guns). |
