I'm still pissed they marketed the game so that you thought you played as Snake, but then you got stuck with shitty Raiden.
Well played Kojima...well played. Also I remember I received the game for Christmas, my mom let me open it early but we had to go to Grandma's for the weekend, I read the manual about 500 times until I got back home.

Sometimes it's stupid and pointless, other times it's actually pretty good. MGS4 did a pretty good job of having all of the weird bosses have plain and easy to understand messages involved with their character. The boss fights also reflected this. For example, you can't kill Vamp with weapons. Instead, you use an idea that was given to you earlier in the game. In other words, the best way to stop something bad that can't be destroyed by using weapons is with an idea. Some are stretches, others aren't, but all are there and have a point. No clue about Pyscho Mantis, though.

Back when I was playing Unreal Tournament 2004 there was a huge battle going on between a few hacker clans and the guys who was writing the anti hack code and keeping it up to date.
One of those clans was Digital Death. They would make the hacks and flaunt it in some of the public game servers intentionally to mess with the the anti hack guys. One of the guys I associated with regular was part of that DD clan. He was able to write the hacks in the native game code. He really didn't have any desire to play the game, just to be able to crack it. here is some of the stuff they were able to do.
