Chiappa you say? I think I found a picture of the internals of that shotgun.. http://www.thundermoon.us/photos/hawaii/ph_box_gauges.jpg So...it's a simple and robust design?

I want one for some reason...

Hey, who care that it doesn't work? It looks cool! |

Mr. BigButt is quite the potty mouth.... |

called the 1887 in 10 ga the 1901n 12ga Wrong way around. The 1887 was designed for the black powder 12ga ammo. The 1901 was a larger, stronger design intended to handle 10ga with smokeless propellant. Better materials and they just dropped the 12. You could get the 87 in 10 ga too IIRC. Chiappa also makes a rifled barrel slug version with adjustable sights. Quoted:
I"d rather have an IAC or better yet, a "Cowboy Cap" IAC I think you are referring to the Coyote Cap Special Edition. Modified to be able to load two rounds into the top of the receiver, close the lever fire one, cycle fire two, repeat. It would still of course load rounds into the tube. Barrel was shorter 18.1" and had slightly heavier bead. All of them were gone through and tested once they reached Morristown. Ahlman's did a few deliveries but it was taken over by the family once again before all were delivered. The stock was changed slightly as well when compared to the stock IAC model. It came with a pretty complete set of chokes but mine was used and only came with the .69 extra full. Mine can be cycled with rounds using just my little finger and very little effort. It appears they may start importing this model again. Note: This model with full power slugs is the hardest kicking shotgun I have ever fired. |

you have to pull the trigger to be able to cycle it? how lame and unsafe. My Ithaca and 870 don't. There is a little button you have to push but then you can rack the pump and eject the unfired shells. |

Hopefully the price will come down over time. |
