They actually have a model called the T3 or something.

Yeah, but I prefer the wood and case hardened look.

Chiappa you say?

I think I found a picture of the internals of that shotgun..

You aren't the only one.

So...it's a simple and robust design?

Does it come with leather pants?  I'm in if so...

Some braided leather dangles would look really good on that.

Wrong way around.  The 1887 was designed for the black powder 12ga ammo.  The 1901 was a larger, stronger design intended to handle 10ga with smokeless propellant.

Better materials and they just dropped the 12.  You could get the 87 in 10 ga too IIRC.

Chiappa also makes a rifled barrel slug version with adjustable sights.

I think you are referring to the Coyote Cap Special Edition.
Modified to be able to load two rounds into the top of the receiver, close the lever fire one, cycle fire two, repeat.  It would still of course load rounds into the tube.
Barrel was shorter 18.1" and had slightly heavier bead.  All of them were gone through and tested once they reached Morristown.  Ahlman's did a few deliveries but it was taken over by the family once again before all were delivered.  The stock was changed slightly as well when compared to the stock IAC model.  It came with a pretty complete set of chokes but mine was used and only came with the .69 extra full.
Mine can be cycled with rounds using just my little finger and very little effort.  It appears they may start importing this model again.

Note:  This model with full power slugs is the hardest kicking shotgun I have ever fired.

You'd be better off getting a Norinco clone and cutting it down. About $350-$400.

I have an original '87 that I need parts for. It needs a new barrel and a stock and some internals. Anybody know a good place for parts?

you have to pull the trigger to be able to cycle it?
how lame and unsafe. My Ithaca and 870 don't. There is a little button you have to push but then you can rack the pump and eject the unfired shells.

That thing in modern 10 ga would have to be painful.

Is that from the USS Bowfin?  I would have hated being on that small ass sub.

I want their takedown 92 that they debuted several years ago, but I emailed them and they said they did not get enough interest from dealers to start manufacturing

I hate it when companies list products on their website that they are not making.

LGS has two, original Winchester 87s. Hard not to but them. They also had a Nork, but my buddy beat me to it.
