Okay, I am fed up with this damn HP printer I have. It doesn't want to take paper you have to feed it in page by page. It's the kind with the scanner/ copier, which is nice but its a pain the ass.
Help me pick a new printer.... Need suggestions as I am no tech guru. I would like it to be able to scan and copy. Any good suggestions?? Oh and if the ink was cheap that would be nice too, but I don't think I have seen a "cheap" ink cartridge. Laser printers any good doesn't have to be color, wouldn't mind it though. |
| Lexmark is pretty good- our office has 7600 something series, and the Kodak's are supposed to run a long time on their ink cartridges. The office Lexmark has WiFi, card reader, a little screen and can print/copy two sided. Before you toss your old printer, vacuum out the paper feed slot, and/or blow it out real good with an air compressor. Also, wipe the rollers as much as you can with a damp washcloth. Sometimes the rollers get paper dust buildup on them and won't feed right. Are you fanning the paper before you put it in the feed slot? Sometimes the paper picks up static electricity and won't feed sheet by sheet. Fanning the paper stack (kinda like a deck of cards) helps separate the pages. |

Get a brother laser printer. Don't look back.
Got a brother dcp 7065? (going by memory here) last year. It's fast to start printing, prints fast, scans fast, still going on the original toner cartridge (and I've printed ALOT of shipping labels with it). It was super easy to set up, too. I got the wired version since it was cheaper. Just plugged it into the network and it recognized it instantly. No muss or fuss. http://www.amazon.com/Brother-Printer-DCP7065DN-Monochrome-Multi-Function/dp/B004ULP9QA Unless you need color, I'd get one of those. They do make color laser printers as well, but they're quite a bit more expensive. |
