Since every Barbie from all 100 countries has a passport, I think these butthurt people are barking up the wrong tree. Mattel better not back down! They've done nothing wrong!
As for the appearance of Mexicans, most of the women I've seen (mostly in Southern California) are very attractive.
As for men, either they look like these guys:
...or they don't.
But to be honest, that's the same with all races and cultures. We have our "beautiful people" and we have our "regular people."
Is Mattel going to have a Mexican Ken? That would be interesting.
Has anyone seen some of those Mexican TV shows, where all the main actors look like the photos of the guys I posted above (tall, classic good looks, often with lighter skin), but all the staff and workers (servants, gardeners, and so forth) are smaller, shorter, sometimes stockier, and darker skinned? It becomes glaringly obvious when you start paying attention. It's rare to find a leading man or leading lady that is short and dark.
