The MD Senate passed SB281 28-19, leaving only fucktard Owe'Malley's signature to seal the deal. I don't even know what to say right now. |

No kidding. O'malley is just a bit left of Obama. He said several months ago that Maryland will be the safest state with the strictest gun control. I'm not sure how his bill compares to CT's, but I'm sure it sucks. O'Malley is running for POTUS in 2016, or he wants to. C'mon cancer, find that SOB.
I work in Towson, and hear of all the corrupt and degenerate LEOs, politicians, and even the last mayor, Sheila Dixon. Just look her up for a clue of how shitty MD is. Only way to make MD safe is to hit Baltimore with a Neutron bomb and make the eastern shore a different state (not NJ!). |

MD has always been Blue but the fix was definately in this session. This was pushed by the Govenor, Martin O'Malley, who wants a national level run in 2016 or 2020. Beware of him. This is not a time to point fingers, but a majority of MD gun owners have been very complacent over the last ten or so years becuase things were always "OK". "So I have to wait 7 days for a handgun, AR or AK, no big deal." I have been guilty of saying that myself. Now this has happened. We are in a long fight to turn this around. No one else take anthing for granted...Get politically active now. Be vocal. Defend what is yours. If your state has closed primaries, register as a Democrat and vote out anti-gun legislators NOW. Set an example. No matter how your state looks like now, where there are cities, there are bastions of the Progressive (Liberal) mindset and plenty of FSA... They will not stop. We know what their ultimate goal is. Don't let it happen to you. |

Everyone of my friends in these newly minted ban states get the same reply from me. Move to a state that is solid on gun rights. Nevada has some of the more pro gun people in office (Yes I know we have dirty Harry Reid lol) and gun laws here tend to just not get passed after being proposed. We don't tolerate it and those in office know that we will vote against them because gun rights come first in this state. I hate to tell people to give up and move, but if we all end up in strongly pro gun states, at least we have some safety for the time being. |

This was bound to happen as our population increased that government was going to tighten the reigns, but they're overstepping and diminishing the Constitution that serves as the very basis for their authority.
Their hope is that the people will be satisfied with a democracy over having rule of law and with the shift in demographics and the influx on immigrants (about 2 Million Legal per year and hundreds of thousands illegal) they're probably right. So we're seeing this "white flight" if you will now on a grand scale as people are forced to no longer just move from urban areas, but retreat from entire states. We're seeing conservative businesses that don't have crony capitalism working for them having to retreat as well. It's going to increase the polarization of this nation and eventually lead to a national crisis if not full civil war. We're now at a point already where a Republican in New York, Maryland, New Jersey, California, or Connecticut would be considered a radical leftist in Red States. You can't even count on ANY elected official in a Blue State to represent your interests any longer as was demonstrated amply in New York and Connecticut. The Republican Party receives nationally most of its money from New York City donors and they're pushing for someone like Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey to run for President in 2016.
I don't know if it's enough to simply flee to what Red States remain and hope that the liberals don't cross yet another line in the sand. This nation needs an amicable split, a national divorce between liberal and conservative states. Even some Republicans are critical of Rick Perry for not taking the Federal funds under the Affordable Care Act, but Rick Perry understands that is the type of bait the Federal government uses to get States so dependent upon its purse strings that they lose any States rights they ever retained. Liberals are so pompous and so convinced their path of European socialism is the best they shouldn't need the conservative states who are holding them back anyways. Let them go do their thing and we'll do our thing. There is no reason we couldn't maintain a military alliance and have free trade. There is no cause for bloodshed or a civil war. Just let's get this done now in a peaceful way before it goes any further and that peaceful way becomes an impossibility. |
