Greetings all. If you find this boring you can blame Fullclip; he forced me to do this. Facts about me: I "quit" the military after 20 years of service. They send me a check every month and say that I'm retired. But I still "quit in disgust." I don't talk much about the military. I play baseball in the Men's Senior Baseball League here in San Antonio. Got drafted by a second year team this year- the Astros. We only won two games!! But it was a much better "atmosphere" than the team I played on last year. I am the catcher. Ergo the name Backstop. I don't own much of anything anymore. The divorce battle of 2000-2001 pretty much cleaned me out. Oh well it's only money. I'll just go earn more. Firearms: Kimber Classic. Almost exactly like the one in SF mag that the Lost Wages Police have adapted. I have PT night sights. And mine shoots a hell of alot better because I am behind the trigger! Mossberg 500 with Speedfeed. I reload for my Kimber. Bushmaster Shorty. Iron sights- no batteries, no failures. Hoping to add a "hunting rifle" based on the Rem 700 sometime this fall or next spring I have a boatload of medical skills. I worked as a pharmacy tech for a while at HEB. Was banking money for Physician Assistant school. The divorce began and wanted to work construction for a while. Less hassles, etc. Now I work for an electrical contractor here in San Antonio. I've been working at the SBC Center for over a year. We're now working 68 hrs a week trying to finish by 18 Oct- an exhibition game. Will eventually get back in the medical field after I pay off all these bills I didn't make. Am planning on going out with the Ranch Rescue folks this fall. Seems like a good cause and a chance to use some military skills again. I post (on boards) like I talk: not very much. But I generally lurk about every day. I shoot and am a member at Blackhawk range. Truly a great place. Haven't been in a month or so- just no damn time with work and school now. Man, guess this is long. Sorry to bore ya. This is a great board. Informative and entertaining. I need to look into becoming a member. Anyway, you folks take care. Don |

mojo, My intro was close to this one. Long story short. I related I was Air Force, some genius decided to pick on my every post, calling me a REMF etc. It got way out of hand. And like an idiot (in retrospect) I wrote some info concerning tactics and such. As I said before I don't talk about the military much. This same person called me a liar etc and wanted to know my credentials. So then I start getting private email from 3 guys pretty much calling me a fake etc. Sort of my fault (I guess) for making professional statements I wasn't prepared to back. So I blew a gasket one post and ended by asking the mod remove all traces of me from the board. The mod was cool. He refunded my donation to the board and offered a "reregister at any time" invite. So, hence my being somewhat gunshy. Sure a much different bunch of folks here! |

Sh&tp*ssc$ntf@ck!! No REMF here!! Man I hate that!! Just kidding. I did work in a hospital for the last 2 years- hated every stinking minute of it. Beer Slayer- ever been to the SAXET gun show? I guess it was two months ago a guy was walking around with "Beer Slayer" on a t-shirt. |
