Well, I did mention the other day, I think it was in the tuna fish thread, that I found a bag of baking peanuts in my pantry that were bought a couple of years ago.

Nothing better than a warm bag of peanuts to crack open at the ballpark, lots of beer... Now boiled peanuts just suck ass. Incorrect sir, done correctly, boiled peanuts are a thing of glory mixed with beer and some crawdads They just taste like bits of chalk to me, no matter how they're seasoned. And I've tried 'em in Georgia and NC, as well as up around Cleburne. I just can't get with boiled goobers. |

Ok, what are baking peanuts? Roasted but unsalted? maybe? Ummmmm, they are in the baking aisle at the HEB with the spices, flour, sugar, almonds, chocolate chips, walnuts, etc.. Since they are at home and I am here, that's the best answer I can give you. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ ("How could he, not with the peanuts I pay you."--Carlson, (w,stte), "WKRP") |

Last time I had them, they were boiled with some ground tobasco pulp, and they were pure awasomeness That said, the salt content was high enough that I had to have about a twelve pack to get not go into shock
