And people wonder why the IDF is so bad to the bone. Its because they have such cool toys. Quoted: Looks like it has a rather high center of gravity, though the articulated rear is VERY interesting. I am... intrigued[8D] Not that bad if you take off the top MG and gunner. Look at the very first pic of the unarmed prototype with just the driver in it. However, the only way you are going to get good ground clearance AND still fit inside a Chinook or Super Stallion is with a high cg vheicle. Low cg and high ground clearance requires a wide vheicle like the HUMVEE-and that just wont fit. |

Quoted: Seems vulnerable from the rear- none of the gunners can turn around to face rearward or get their guns to point straight back... Would that be a problem? Apparently not the way they are using it. The Navy's dune buggies have no rearward firing weapons either. If it were a problem though it should be a simple matter to install another pedistal in the back for firing rearwards. Like SAS Land Rovers have. |

Quoted: Cool! Notice the MGs have bipods... do they quick detach? Otherwise, why not use .308 cal. weapons? Of course. They are just Negevs. Even if they were GPMGs they would still have bipods. In the IDF however, they have announced that they intend to replace all GPMGs with the Negev. Yes you heard that correctly. They intend to replace all 7.62 weapons. |
