I need a few dozen yards of fill dirt for a building site and some general grading.

What am I going to get with a sign like that?

Is this a mistake?

Around here you get the stuff the landfill won't take mixed in with construction debris and about 20% dirt.

I have about 10 yards you can have.

Have you tried craig's list?

How much is a few dozen?

Watch what you get, more than likely they will dump shit on your lot.

P.S. I am a grading contractor

Rubble, mixed soil that is probably water sensitive.  Crap shoot.

What do you need the fill for?  I wouldn't use it for any foundation purposes.

It's for a residential lot with acreage.  Part is to build up a new home site.  Also, to level a couple acres that will be lawn or light pasture.

It looks like you're in Germany, I don't know how they do things there.

Here, I would contact an engineering contractor and see if they need to get rid of some dirt.

Since you said acreage, could you dig a pond?

I have had lots of luck with the "Free" section of Craigslist. There's always someone in town with several yards of dirt or river rock who doesn't want to pay to have it hauled off, so it's free if you come haul it.

Eta: did my whole property (which is small, to be fair) this way.

In my area you would get about 2/3 clay dirt and 1/3 river rock. But thats the norm here.

I'd be happy with that.
