I went to the last one, and man that shit isnt cheap! I dont think ill go back, the Washington State Gun Collectors association charges like 40 bucks to join an 10 to get in! BTW you have to be a member to buy a gun! BULLSHIT!!! Ill go elsewhere. I cant even remember how many times a guy tried to tell me he "only shot 3 rounds" out of their OLYMPIC ARMS crap gun then try to sell it for 1200! damn sorry to unload on you- It brought back emotions.

Thanks anyway,

Gaspain

Its not $40 to join AND $10 to get in. Members get in free. Works pretty well. Typical gun show prices aren't great though, but you can find good deals.

Come on over to the East side of the State.  No unions like the WSGC.  Cost six bucks to get in and you can buy and sell a gun without being a "union" member.  Of course you would spend 20 dollars in gas.

Next show is Pasco next weekend.  Should be 250-300 tables.  You can also get good deals with walkins.

I have to admit that I have an OLY that works just FINE, thankyou. Of course, the first thing to go was the 11.5" barrel. Physics are physics and you can't change that. I still have plans for it though.

While I am on the subject, OLY has a new lower with a custom set trigger that is the best I have ever seen. You simply rotate the selector switch to the rear (past "FIRE") until it stops and you have a 1lb trigger, otherwise, it operates normally. They send the lowers out for the custom trigger work.

Now, if I can talk them into doing the trigger job on one of their titanium lowers, I might actually build a post-ban rifle.

Now I do like to dis Oly, because I've had problems with their service. Im glad you like yours, Its a good thing to hear good stuff about a company that has problems, Maybe they will get their act together.

The Olys I saw at the Gunshow, were junk. The triggers were rough, internals were not as good as Bushys but functional and some looked like they had been spray painted. Kinda reminds me of Hesse arms. And the gun show is a few miles away from the Oly factory, it makes me wonder if these guys dug em out of their dumpster...or had some midnight back loading dock factory seconds transfers then charge 1200 bucks for em.

Thats my rant.

Good luck with your Oly, I hope you got a good one.

OK, so I polished the hammer, installed anti-walk pins, ambidextrious selector and a new trigger, added an exring, swapped out to an aluminium stock and added a carbine butt pad, at least I kept the disconnector.

I never could leave my toys alone, anyway. Always taking them apart, putting them together. I think I'll go field strip it right now...
