| If I go through a drive through window to pickup pizza, and don't tip, am I a scumbag? |
|
Quoted:
If you aren't sitting down to a meal with an actual server to wait on you, then no tip. Simple For the most part, I agree. But at this particular restaurant, they have the waitresses cover the drive thru window while they are busy waiting tables. It may be part of their job, but it doesn't seem like much incentive to them. |

I know different thing however if you already know she has to work twice as much I would if she keeps a great attitude about it. just cause

It would give them incentive to not spit on your next one.

After going overseas eating cheaper and better food where tipping is not only not a custom but possibly considered rude, I am miffed that tipping is not a gratuity, but an expectation here.
Though I still tip, only because I would feel like a scumbag if I don't since it is custom here. |

I am miffed that tipping is not a gratuity, but an expectation here. I know tipping has been the way it is for some time, but that seems to fit in with the way our society is going. Everything is an expectation. I remember being overseas and finding out the hard way that tipping was different. Left a nice tip by U.S. standards & the waitress refused. Explained that a small tip was acceptable if you felt the service was excellent. Large tips sort of implied that you didn't think they could support themselves. I still tip well here, but their way is better. |
I don't think they expect to be tipped at drive through
I would if she keeps a great attitude about it. just cause
