My wife thinks it's rude to use the speaker on our phone. I normally do it when I'm put on hold,
or when there's other things I have to do, like computer troubleshooting. I see nothing wrong with it, especially as the new phones don't tuck under the chin to well. Can the other party even tell you are on the speaker? Comments? |

Quoted: I refuse to talk to people on speaker phones unless it's a conference and there's like 7 people in the room. For one-on-one conversations, it screams "I'm too important to put the fucking phone up to my ear and talk to you." Makes it hard to type on a computer with only one hand, no? |

One of my good friends uses the speakerphone. I think his wife makes him do it so she can hear what his conversation is. I make him take it off speaker when I hear him on it.
He bought a new car after he retired and she drives it more than him. She also does ALL the driving when they go somewhere together. It bugs the shit out of me, but hey,it's none of my business..... |
