Most you pull to make the loud noises some you pull and release to make the loud noises. There that's all you need to know unless you ask a more specific question.

Do you mean differences in single action, double action, sa/da, doubleaction only, etc?

Yes.  I figured that would be obvious to most.  I'm always taken back by just how stupid some people can be on this site.  At times I wonder if there is a competition for who can be the dumbest.

Well, by asking an extremely vague question, you've put yourself in the running.

That said, single action means pulling the trigger only releases it.  Double action means pulling the trigger will cock it and fire.  SA/DA can do both, since the gun can be cocked manually.  DAO is always in double action.

just avoid double action and double action only. also anything that says ruger on it because ruger ruins any trigger.

Well, you've come to the wrong place. This is a replica forum.

Real guns and triggers are icky!

I'm still learning and I'm as noob as it gets.  You say it's vague but, what else could I have meant?

You know when I want to learn more about something I do some research instead of going on a forum and insulting people.  That's just me though.

Actually mentioning what you were hoping to learn in the body of the post would have helped.

What you did is like going to a car forum, starting a thread with "Learning about cars" and saying you're new and require things to look at.  Vague as vague can be.

Also, don't act all butthurt when your poor post gets picked apart and ridiculed.

Lol and when someone asks me for help I don't insult them.  Thanks for your shitty advice though.

Oh and I did do research.  I was hoping someone could break it down in it's simplest form though.  Thanks again.

Best way to learn is to go hands on somewhere.  Let somebody show you how the different mechanisms work.  Then when you read about it to learn more, the stuff will make more sense.

Thanks.  I'll probably just sign up for a few gun classes then.

If you press the trigger correctly, it really doesn't matter.

That being said, most people cant press the trigger correctly.

Get a 9mm glock. It has the best trigger without going over the top expensive.

A stock glock trigger is great because it has a distinct break point and very short, tactile, reset.

Trigger weight, crispness, reset, ease of replacement or modification......

Name your thread "Tell me about handgun triggers" or something more closely that describes what you are actually seeking to know about.

Then in the body of the thread ask the same question again or tell us what you have already learned from your research possibly.

Next, post the thread in the handgun forum to get a decent, non-doucebag technical answer.

Finally stay away from general discussion unless you really what the highest viewers and responses just so you know a lot of the replies will have a high degree of BS just to have fun at your expense.

I must admit when I clicked on your thread I was expecting something else but I don't know what. Hence the wonder of GD
