So for you guys who like appendix carry which holster do you use? The new G-code/HSP INCOG just came out and the Raven Concealment vanguard 2 has been out for a lil while as well. If I were to appendix carry I think the Vanguard 2 would be better cause you can just shove the gun back into it while it's in your pants. How is that a pro you ask well have you heard of Glock leg? If I were to use the INCOG type holster I could possibly shoot myself in the "Goodies", but with the Vanguard 2 I have to take it out then attach it back to the trigger guard then re-holster which makes it safer but slower IMO. All in all it really comes down to how much you train if you were to carry that way, but I was just thinking about it. ETA: If you pick other please state which holster it is? Thanks |

I am not bashing appendix carry but I can't get past the thought of a bullet hole in my pecker. Amen brother. I carry at 4:00. I'll survive one through an ass cheek. Blow my junk off, might as well go ahead and suck start my 1911. Outside of you pulling the trigger- how are you going to shoot yourself ? |

I'm curious, how often do you hold your holstered weapon to your forehead? |

Believe me, if I point it at my pecker, galactic forces will align, Murphy will sit up and take notice, a butterfly wil flap his fucking wings in the South Pacific and all my safeties will fail, catastrophically. |

I'm not going to say that nobody should carry AIWB, but it breaks one of the cardinal rules of gun handling and it certainly isn't for most people. |

More like putting your holster on your forehead, squeezing it shut like it's between your belt and gut, then shoving your handgun in it. |

Quoted: Only way I carry and nothing conceals better. I can carry my G21 or FNP 45( before it exploded Nice any pictures of said combo? |
|
Quoted: I have been surprised how much I like my G19 in the VG2, haven't blown off the wedding tackle yet (knock on wood) ![]() Eta: also have been carrying my shield in a comptac 2 o'clock which I am less fond of and want to try another holster. How comfortable is the VG2/G19 combo? |

Quoted: VG2 and g19 with silver cerakoted slide. Because if I'm going to look like Mexican carry, I'm gonna have some bling. http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s297/bigg089/4AA73A44-6D62-40FB-B197-785EAD75758B-537-0000003810C7CC7E.jpg Very nice. Why are you not using the belt strut do you like the card method better. I actually think the cord method makes it easier to re holster since it come out with the draw and just hangs there if you know what I mean.

Quoted: I carry in JM Custom kydex holster. I have one for my glock 23 an one for my hk p30. The p30 has a extra tuck wedge built in and it conceals the weapon very well Same here. G19 with extra tuck and rolled edges. Good shit! |

I use a PJHolster kydex built to be straight drop and mid-ride.
Most comfortable holster for AIWB I've found yet. Reholstering is not a concern... Remove holster, place gun in it, place holster with gun back in place. I am much more concerned about speed of draw, retention and concealment... Reholstering is a thing I take my sweet time doing. |

You take your holster off every time you re-holster while practicing at the range? Not trying to be a smart-ass, I'm honestly wondering. |

I bought the Vega soft suede holster for my P99 that Daniel Craig used in Casino Royale, just because that's the holster that Bond used It's surprisingly comfortable, but re holstering is absolutely out of the question. I'd have to completely undo my pants. I have this mental image of shooting down a bad guy, then having to undo my pants to re holster... That would be extremely awkward... I don't use it often. |

I was imagining doing that with traditional clips like on a 3-5 IWB holster. |

Well said about re-holstering and I'll take a look at the PJ. |

Quoted: I agree with the sentiment of a lot of people on here. I don't want a loaded firearm anywhere near my schnutts. Let alone the idea of the grip digging into your chest while sitting down LOL you must have a really long gun for it to hit your chest. Appendix carry is not for people that don't feel confident in the Gun handling skills(not implying that you are not), and the gun can't go off unless something pulls the trigger. I like it. YMMV.

Very nice is that a XDM?? Just a standard xd9 service model. Got it before the XDM's came out, and it is proven for me, never a single malfunction, so i havent felt the need to upgrade. excuse the lint, it is a daily carry after all. |
