I'm confused on the current ar market with Larue and other high end uppers or complete rifles private party sales. I have been checking the forums and I don't really see any activity on the high end set ups like a Larue  stealth 556. I was expecting to see these moving more than what I've seen. Are the low end ar setups getting more activity? I have seen many high priced rifles but I've seen a few good priced one to. I was expecting availability to be a factor on the private party side but I just do see anything really happening. What gives or am I just not seeing it?

I think the people buying ARs right now are primarily buying them just to own one (or another), and are scooping up anything they can find in the platform...regardless of brand or price. There's no factory AR that'll be readily available for a decent amount of time in this market. You mention LaRue? They were already backordered for months before this craze started...I can only imagine their backlog now.

I for one will continue to wait out this insanity. Yes, I have BRD, and I constantly have the urge to add to the collection. But in this climate, I can't even afford to shoot my 223/556 ARs anymore...and who knows when ammo will get back to normal. I can't justify the investment for another AR in this climate while the "affordable" ammo is .75 cents a round. It's a shame.

My Spikes dedicated 22 upper should be shipping within the week. At least I'll have something to enjoy for the meantime.

I think I see relatively simple ars selling for a somewhat inflated price selling fast. But I honestly haven't seen a Noveske or Larue sell out there recently. I have heard but have not seen it personally on the threads.

Because the "relatively simple ARs" are actually hitting shelves from time to time.

The high end ARs are gone long before they can hit the shelves in this climate.

But I guess what I don't understand is seeing a few high end ones just sitting around (private sales) and no offers. Some with prices in the same ratio as the kiss rifles. Some even though there kiss rifles my have been closes to $1,800-$2,000  to build. I've seen a few not much more than that price and not get offers. But basic set ups selling for $1,500-$1.700. I just think if those high end ones are so hard to get, why are they sitting around. I see some sitting for 4,000 and 5,000. That I get.

They cost more.    The people panic buying are mainly buying because they don't have one or only a few.    When they see a colt for 1600 and a Noveske for 2200.  They will buy the colt because they don't know there are differences.   The people with higher end rifles either already sold them or aren't planning on selling

They are out there (at times) on GunBroker. LaRue's selling (when they show up which is rare) for $4500.00 to $12,500.00 (Costa Edition). Noveske's from $4000.00 and up. DD lists at times for just above retail to the $4k levels. Other high end rifles are much the same. Most that have them will keep them.

Right. Most panic buyers are uneducated. How many "How did I do?" threads have you seen lately with someone posting up their $1,400 Carbon 15 or $1,700 DPMS? They are looking for an AR at the lowest price they can find to beat a mystical buzzer that is unlikely to go off.
