what happened OP?

DPMS's website list shipping in 2-3 weeks for most .308 parts but you might want to confirm with them.

Check Brownells too. I ordered some spare .308 parts recently (though I'm not sure if they have an extractor)

Brownells is out of stock/no backorder...just checked.

Call DPMS and ask for warranty department. I spoke with a guy named Jason. I explained to him the problem and he shipped me out a new extractor under warranty that day. It took awhile to get since the first one was sent and lost by USPS. I called again and asked to send one with tracking information they were happy to help me out and first rate service. They guy explained that I might get the first extractor in and not to sweat it. I offered to send the extra one back if I ever got it in, and he said to keep it.

I did end up ordering a bolt repair kit from Brownells as a backup for $39.99

i dont know i was just shooting some steel thought the bolt locked back but it was still forward removed the mag pulled the bolt back and the casing from the previous round was in the chamber.

removed bolt and sure enough the whole lip that extracts round was gone.

i sent DPMS an email and whoever responded wanted me to ship the broken extractor to them which is fine i have no problem with thier policy and i am not bashing them but i would rather just buy one than have to pay shipping to send them the broken one.
