I agree, the gross display of self reliance is incredibly offensive, those children should never be exposed to firearms. How anyone could be okay with such an egregious use of our rights is beyond me. We should make firearms taboo and ostracize people who want to teach our youth how to fend for themselves. No child should know how to effectively, efficiently and safely operate such weapons of war. That's all working real good over on your side of the pond isn't it?  |

i don't see a problem with it. I take my 3 year old shooting the pellet gun all the time. She can't aim it, but i aim it and let her pull the trigger. When she gets big enough to understand the sites, i'll let her do the aiming. By that time im sure it will be a 22lr. I would expect her to be able to shoot full sized guns by age 9. Doesn't really have anything to do with prepping her for shtf. Just something we can do together and she enjoys it.
I can already see a problem with it at day care or in school. She likes to make guns out of sticks and pretend to shoot people. She says, "i shoot you, now your dead." When I told her "its not nice to shoot people." She responded "i wouldn't really shoot you. Im just pretending, its ok to pretend." Funny how a 3 year old can understand the difference between pretending and real life, but hippies can not. I told her if shes going to pretend with guns, she has to pretend they are a pellet gun and she can't pretend to shoot people. Not that i really give a shit, but i figure it could avoid problems in the future |

| Yeah, people learning new skills is just crazy. The only skills we should need are how to operate a remote control strictly by touch. Oh yeah, and a microwave. Must know how to operate a microwave so we can cook our food quickly during commercials and not miss any TV. Craziness. |

Never has a government ever been overbearing. Never has there been a natural disaster that's cut off all outside support. Never has anyone lost a job and not had any contingency plan on where to get their next meal. Never has an economy gone tits up. |

| Is anyone else as surprised as I was to see the very strong safety shown? No real pictured lazing, every with their fingers off the trigger, the one .22 even looked like it had a chamber flag to show it was clear. Most of the gear looked in pretty decent condition. Besides former police Sgt. Sugar Cookie, most of them looked in good physical condition. |

Some people "prep" for natural emergencies. Like earthquakes, tornados, huricanes and the like in this country. The reality is when other countries face a huge emergency our country goes and helps them out, while most other countries don't throw a dime our way when we have an emergency. That's fine, we aren't mad about it, we take responsibility for ourselves. Those that have a few weeks, or more, of supplies on hand have a much easier time than those that didn't plan ahead and try to get what they will need at the last minute fighting a million other people for limited supplies. The people that didn't plan ahead often freak out and go break into other peoples homes to get food/water/gas, sometimes violently.
I'm pleased to know that you have no worries whatsoever in GB and that there isn't a violence problem
