I've stockpiled ammo for every firearm I own...except .22, since I never thought it would be hard to find.  Guess I learned my lesson, in case it's ever in stock again.

Where are you located? I'll trade you .22lr round for round for 5.56.

it's pretty crazy now how you can't find even .22lr. I was in wal mart today and the only .22 they had were a few 50rd boxes of subsonic and the really expensive stuff. My buddy who has a small sporting goods store can't even get .22 from any of his suppliers. If you have a .30-06 or .270 though, finding ammo isn't an issue in my area.

There was plenty at the Gunshow in Ft worth yesterday, only  $90.0 for a box  of 500 rounds no joke

Never thought I would see the day you couldnt find .22,...good thing we already filled the farm account and bought 6K rounds last season for varmits...

I have a bunch and it has been real hard not to sell any at these prices, knowing it will be like 2009 or a little longer to recover; but it will recover.

walt, I didn't know you were local. We should hang out some time.

I made the same mistake, Aiden.

We normally buy 5-6K rounds every 5 years for the farm, we just so happened to stock up in NOV...wish we had tripled the order now and got another 500rds of .222 for the coyotes.

I have 10 or 15 bricks  but that is nothing.  I wish I had bought more.  When  I was a kid I bought ten bricks at a time for  about 90 dollars.

Maybe it is all the .22lr conversions. *shrugs* I had a girl at work who was asking me to go shooting say a couple of things that made me realize that some people don't have a very good grasp of the facts regarding different calibers. This is from someone who proclaims to love to go shooting.

I tried to stock up.  I suspected that it was going to be hard to find, but my wallet wasn't fast enough.  I got a little, but I'm not where I wanted to be.

Tell me about it.  Counting what's belted up, I barely have 12,000 rounds.

Haven't been able to find .22 here in Michigan either. I have a nice supply but would love to add to it if I can find anything at a reasonable price

Were you in the market for .22 in 2008?  It was tough to find then too.

There is plenty of .22lr for sale around here.

The .22lr supply around here has never fully recovered since 2008.

Before then, 550rd packs were plentiful and cheap.  I still have several of those.  I bought a couple of those CCI Minimag 1600 count boxes a while back.

It'll have to last me for a while

Cabela's had over a thousand 325-round boxes of Federal semi-auto match last week for $12.99 a box. They lasted probably less than an hour.

It was phone order only. I wasn't a hog -- I only bought 3 boxes.

Yeah, I hope to get lucky someday.  I wanna smack myself when I think of how many 550 value packs I passed by thinking, "Eh, it's .22LR.  Better save for more .223!"

Heard the other day, that there is a small shop south of san Antonio that has a fishbowl filled with .22. .25 cents/round.   He has already emptied the bowl twice...

I've been able to pick up approximately 11k rounds of Remington 22lr  over the past 2 weeks at the local Dicks. In these times, I can't be picky about brand or vendor.

Everyone has been stocking up on .22 uppers, conversions, etc. since the last couple of panics. Almost all of my shooting lately has been .22.

Ya and all the people who bought it are now selling it on GB.
there is no shortage of .22LR it's all on GB being bid up to
insane prices. I even sold some of my stock to cash in on the
feeding frenzy while the fish are consuming themselves.

Just went into Walmart today looking for 22's and no luck at all except for a box of 44mag and some 06 and 270's.

I snagged the 44mag. First pistol ammo I have seen in months.

They sold 1100 boxes of mini mags in about 8 mins a little while ago.  I don't know how much they started with or when they listed it, but when I checked there was 1100 boxes and it sold out while I was waiting on my buddy to tell me if he wanted any.

ETA:  There website is down now.  Guess they couldn't handle the traffic?
