And don't forget that half of that goes to ParcelFarce, or Parcelcunts or whatever as a "handling fee". A handling fee??? They are a parcel courier. The fucking tossers are supposed to "handle" it. They are supposed to deliver to the door as well, but I always end up going all the way to fucking Manchester to be greeted by some spandex wearing 80's hair-band throwback with a fucking lisp at their disorganised clusterfuck of a depot where they charge me for going to collect my parcel which I have already fucking paid the postage for. 8/10 by the way. |

Taxes aren't that bad - we just resent being fucked over for a couple of t-shirts. Remember half that fee UKJohn has had to fork out was a "handling fee" by the incompetent halfwits at Parcelfarce. that same fee would apply if I imported a Dillon XL650, although the tax would be a lot higher (same percentage of total cost) Politically, the UK is more moderate and centrist than the US - that is to say we don't have the polar opposition of left and right that you guys have. I suspect that part of that lies in the fact that we are a much older nation and have done the left and right pendulum swinging thing. That said we have had a severe bout of libtardedness for a long time, with the nanny statism of the 90's (not dissimilar to what you guys are experiencing now). In my experience people are sick of the whole lefty bollocks. Most people want out of the EU post democratic experiment, most want to see tighter immigration controls, tougher penalties for criminals, and smaller govt that spends less. So in a nutshell, I do think that we have a grass roots move towards fiscal and social conservatism that is forming. However we need the leadership to go with that and the lacklustre performance of the current Govt is only kept in power by the sheer hatred of what the left have done to the country with their lunatic spending and insane nanny statism. To be honest, I suspect that one to watch in the coming years might be UKIP. If the Conservatives don't buck their ideas up, I can see many conservative thinkers voting for UKIP. While this may look good at face value, it effectively divides the vote on the right which may give the hardcore socialists the opportunity to drive their fuckbus of ingrates and wankers back into power so they can continue fucking the country over. What really needs to happen is that Guy Fawkes reappears and finishes the job he set out to do and then we can reboot the whole corrupt and nepotistic system and start again. However that ain't going to happen. That's my take on the situation, anyway. |
