Im sorry, but this movie fucking sucks Watched it for the first time the other night, and it was nowhere near as messed up as the group here makes it out to be. Yes, there were a few creepy parts, but that's about it.

I don't think its the scariest movie ever, but I very much enjoy it. It wasnt that bad at all. I'd watch it again. The way I see it is, its a better 'Doom' than the 'Doom' movie was. That and it combined so many of my favorite things and created a very cool mood. The wife and I watch it a few times each year. |

Yes, there were a few creepy parts, but that's about it.I didn't even bother finishing it. There's plenty of creepy shit you can make up about space without having to get into the supernatural. Leave that for farmhouses in horror movies. |

Leave that for farmhouses in horror movies. Having a lack of imagination doesn't mean it was a bad movie. ![]() Great flick. The CGI is dated enough it detracts from the movie. It was awesome in the theater at the time. EDIT: I'm a big fan of Sam Neil. Event Horizon and In the Mouth of Madness are two of my favorites from that time. The set design alone in Event Horizon makes it a better movie than most. In the Mouth of Madness was just good Lovecraftian fun. |

Great flick. The CGI is dated enough it detracts from the movie. It was awesome in the theater at the time. I'd like to see a breakdown by age of who likes the movie. Much of the hate is probably from 90's children who thought The Phantom Menace was a great movie. |

It was okay.
However, the whole "Oh noez, the black holez drivez took us to Hell
An angle that had you wondering a bit longer if they were going to go supernatural with it, or if it was just bonkers crew members hiding out in the ship doing stuff might have made the suspense better. |

This guy's name on the cover is sort of a giveaway. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GFvAhIZar5I/To7SbvE8ZqI/AAAAAAAAAts/_BXOqFyEQAU/s1600/PaulWSAndersonTryHarder.jpg There's a reason everyone who's going to talk about Paul Thomas Anderson will inevitably make it a point to mention "the good Paul Anderson" in the opening. |

That's being said, I hate the new Star Wars movies and my favorite movies are Alien and Aliens. |
