My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer a couple of years ago. Started in the esophagus, had surgery to remove some of the esophagus, then they found cancer in the liver etc. After a couple of rounds of Chemo and radiation the doc gave him a 5% chance to make it 6 month three years ago. He beat those odds and has actually lived a pretty good life for the last couple of years, done things he wouldn't have done before, but now it's back with a growth in the esophagus again. He's a lost a lot of weight and is much weaker now, going to try one more round of Chemo to see how it goes.
I'm afraid this is the end game; those who have been through this, am I right, what's your take? |
| Sorry to say, you really got to face the end. On a brighter note, he certainly lived longer than my dad. It made him very sick to his stomach and it was hellish. Sorry to see a good man go, but it was a 20-1 shot and you did better than most. Prayers sent my friend. |
