This thread ought to help.

Seems like you like flieger style watches. How about these
http://www.longislandwatch.com/Messerschmitt_German_Pilot_Watches_s/1831.htm Only downside is that they're quartz. And no steel band. Seikos would be a safe bet Edit- also check out aeromatic for more fliegers. |
chrome is for pussies. Marathon Navigator I run mine with a Maratac NATO band: Maratac NATO Band

Keep in mind that a $30 quartz Timex is far FAR more accurate than ANY mechanical watch, no matter how much you pay for it. That being said, I would look at some of the nicer analog quartz watches, such as Seiko Kinetic and Citizen Eco drive; since neither require replacing batteries. And, I will never own another watch that doesn't have a sapphire crystal. They simply don't get scratched the way glass or 'mineral crystal' watches do. Sapphire is may times harder than glass. It should be pretty easy to find a nice watch in the $200 to $300 range, I would think. I will never go back to a mechanical watch, after wearing quartz watches for so many years. My Citizen Eco Drive analog (with small LCD display) loses less than 30 seconds every 6 to 7 months. I only have to reset it at the change of daylight saving time, twice a year. |

If you're patient you can find some really good deals out there. I picked up a Fortis Spacematic off Amazon for a little more than $1000.00. The watch usually retails for about 1800.00 or so. If you're patient and have your heart set on something then it's entirely doable.
If you don't mind spending a little more than your budget calls for right now there are also Stowa watches. They're probably next on my list, or maybe a Sinn. |

Hamilton kakhi or jazzmaster or some of the simpler dressy auto Tissot or seiko 5 Are great values. Sinn ( and many others) are expensive for what it is... which is an ETA Movement in a steel case, just like a $3-400 tissot/hamilton I was almost 100% positive that Hamilton uses Valjoux movements. I know the x-wind I have uses one. OP: The Sinn 556 is an excellent watch. Best to find them slightly used on watchforum or watchuseek. You'll save several hundred dollars and you're buying from a watch collector/aficianado who knows how to take care of it. Hamilton is good too, but for the same reason (cost) you'll do best to buy it slightly used. IMO, quartz watches have no soul. |

The blackout models are uber sexy http://gearpatrol.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/luminox-6400-series-brushed-steel-watch.jpg Have one. Nice watch. Easy to see in dark. Finish wearing off band after less than two years of intermittent wear. Heavy. |

Luminox makes some more casual or dress watches too- great quality and keeps better time than my Submariner. My work watch is a $59 Timex Expedition.
A friend of mine got a titanium chrono from Orvis with high quality movement, saphire etc. Get your Google on... there's a lot out there. |

Chris $125? You can get that on Amazon for $60 and get free 2 day shipping with prime I was wrong I was looking at the SNK809 not the model that you show, they look similar though |
This one does everything. Can be cycle computer, used for monitoring runs, runs apps, Caller ID, time, distance, etc, The new Pebble Watch |

Another vote for Hamilton or Tissot if you find it in your price range. If you didn't mind a strap or getting an after market metal bracelet a quick google search found this: Hamilton H32515535
Someone also posted a Seiko-5. I think that can be had in the $100 range. Seiko makes a solid watch too. |
