I just got this in an email from Intense Tactical after waiting for an order since 12/19/2012:
We have received confirmation of Magpul shipments inbound to us in the next 2 weeks and will begin filling backorders at that time. Due to the fact that your credit card authorization is expiring, your card will be charged now to hold your position in queue. Credit cards are only authorized for 30 days and due to the large volume of orders, we must do this now to be able to keep everyone in line to be filled. You can cancel your order at any time up to the date of shipment. Please respond to this email to cancel your order. We cannot take your phone calls at this time. We will update you if anything changes |

I got the same email. As instructed, I did nothing. A few days later the card was charged as they said it would be. I anticipate that in due course I will receive an email telling me my mags have been shipped just as I did 2 days ago from Brownell's telling me my 2 - ten packs of black PMAGS have been shipped, with the 2 - ten packs of flat dark earth mags still on back order along with my Glock mags. "If you agree, don't contact us". Sometimes it pays to just follow instructions........ ;) I got that email today, 2 emails for TWO orders, placed 3 days apart, Seems my order status has changed also. It says Shipment Queue. I think that is new. or it could mean nothing. That normal for them? First order is a 30 day expiration in 2 days, and the other in 4 days. I think the change in status means nothing. Mine has been sitting like that for 2 weeks. Not only that I think they are authorizing cards every 30 days, until some type of shipment comes in. The authorization drops off and then they authorize again. I've sent an email to try to get to the bottom of it, no response yet. |

That authorization period is 30 days. For 30 days, when a company puts an authorization on a card, it holds the money back without actually charging your card. That is what is expiring, not your credit card. The 30 day authorization is expiring, not your card. Oder date 19 Dec. today's date 18 Jan. |
| Well thank you for an explanation. When I questioned it, somebody named Anna just cancelled my order. I wasn't given either an explanation or a choice. It just, to me, was a sorry way to do a customer that has waited over a month to buy from them. It wouldn't have taken her 15 seconds to explain the sentence, and all would have been good. Luckily, I got 7 more pmags w/windows coming from Cabela's during last nights mad dash. At least I don't think Cabelas will cancel my order when I have a question and/or concern. That's why they are a big company, and intense tactical is small potatoes. And now, they are even smaller in my book. I will never even look at their site after what Anna did today. I would have really gone off on her after that too, but maybe she was too busy cancelling other people's orders. The phone just rang off the hook. |
