Homeland Security has raised alert level to Orange, only one level from top level of Red. It's time to load mags. If we go to Red, lock and load. The General Militia will report for duty. |

Who UNLOADED their mags? I ALWAYS keep an adequate number loaded and handy. Never leave home without some defensive weapon locked away close by. These terror alerts impress me about as much as the "severe weather" B.S. alerts they put all the time. I ignore those completey! The terror alerts I listen to but hardly get excited - much political posturing and no hard information. If something really big was afoot, they wouldn't tell us squat!! Just my .02 worth. |

Hmm... Considering I am pretty much always at "Yellow Alert" ("Orange" alert - whatta buncha shit,) I am therefore always assuming a defensive posture with weapons available. Next step - Red Alert (Attack highly probable or imminent.) It's not a big stretch for me to get there. "Condition Black" - wartime operations. Attack in progress. Next report received will be an AAR... FFZ |

The whole family (except the 5 month old), will be sleeping in their web gear tonight. External doors are wired with.. never mind. Fixed up a whole side of feral hog ribs to make sure we are well nourished and to serve as "voodoo" to keep the rags away. The house smells great!!!!!! (Homer) mmmmmmmm.... ribs...... |

The chair is against the wall.... The chair is against the wall.... The chair is against the wall.... The chair is against the wall.... The chair is against the wall.... Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country..... The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.... She sells sea shells by the sea shore..... How much wood can a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? |

Quoted: I keep 1 mag for the AR loaded, my Glock 19 is always loaded and goes everwhere with me including work. If it gets real bad you will need more than loaded mags. Better to have a safe place to go with some other well prepared friends. DUDE! This could be my post! [shock] Although I also keep a +2 mag in my glove box, filled with Hydrashocks. [:D] |

One of the reasons I love my wife, and I'm glad I married her...On 9/11/01, I was woken up by a co-worker, having gotten off shift at 0700. After getting a this is not a drill message from a friend in "circles", about several things "unnewsworthy", I filled the H2O cans, went from strippers to mags, laid everyting out on the first floor, grabbed my respirators and met her at the door. She was worried about seeing me before I went to NYC with the structural collapse team (Chief decided "we weren't needed"), so she told work "fire me...I'm saying goodbye to my husband" and was the first of many to leave that day. She was completely expectant about coming into a "defensive position" in the former living room. I little panicky when I walked her through the details of mask use, but... For this alert, I'm on duty. She's at home with the critters. And the shotgun. Wonder if Ferrets like middle eastern food? [:D] Tango7 |
