Has anyone heard his intentions regarding an AWB? I'm a bit concerned.

He'll have a good cry, and ponder his next move.

I've written him several times, and have not yet received a reply.

If he folds on this, it's the end of the GOP.

Thank
you for contacting me.  I appreciate hearing from you.

The
horror that took place in Newtown, Connecticut on December 14, 2012 seems unbearable, but we will lock
arms and unite as citizens, for that is how Americans rise above unspeakable evil.  Let us all come together
in God's grace to pray for the families of the victims, that they may find some comfort and peace amid
such suffering.  Let us give thanks for all those who helped get people to safety, and take heart from
their example.

We
join President Obama and all Americans in mourning the victims of this awful tragedy.  The president
has formed a task force headed by Vice President Biden.  When the vice president's group makes specific
proposals, we will certainly take them into consideration.  Right now our focus is, and should be, on
the victims, their families, and their community.

Thank
you again for contacting me with your thoughts.  Please don't hesitate to inform me of your concerns
in the future.  To sign up for email updates, I invite you to visit my website at

Sincerely,

John A. Boehner

I'd call it a complete collapse.  This is the easiest issue to stand firm on.  Opposing it has no measurable affect on anything.  Backing it brings huge rage.

Not to mention it is one of the few wedge issues the Democrats are vulnerable on.

I can't see a single positive to be gained by the Republicans caving in any way.  It would be the highest form of stupidity since John McLame. Scratch that...Bob Dole.

If an inch is given in the U.S. House of Reps, I'll never vote for a Republican again as long as I live.

This and only this is the reason we gave them the House.

Apparently his position is fully forward, with ankles firmly grasped, a grimace, and some tears.

How does he benefit by remaining silent?

Kinda makes me wonder if they haven't taken him out back somewhere and told him to play ball or you will NEVER get anything you want in any other legislation.
