Alright. So I live in Fort Worth, and I got a red light camera ticket in the mail yesterday. It was a few weeks ago, and I remember what I was doing. I went right on a red (which is legal), and they snapped a photo apparently.
So what rights do I have, and how can I fight it? |

Did you come to a full stop before you turned? There were so many protests locally that the city council took the cameras out. Complaints about due process since the decision to ticket you is made by a civilian company and not LE. Other concerns were chain of evidence and accuracy of the cameras.
You can ask to go before a judge and have him/her look at the evidence and listen to you. I'd do that here but I'm not familiar with judges in Ft. Worth. |
| Good luck. I've gotten a couple of them. They claimed that I didn't stop for at least 3 seconds, which I don't think is the law, but I didn't think fighting it any further was worth the time or aggravation. In Illinois, it's a no point ticket. They just want the money. |

I haven't seen the video yet, but that's all I could think that would be illegal. |
