This is pretty cool, thought I would share it here:
http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=3bd_1356778885 The camera can rotate around, not sure how it is setup or if it has head tracking. Makes me want to fly model airplanes again. |

Anyone know a cost for this? When i was younger, my dad flew RC jets. He spent tons of money learning to build and fly regular planes and going through a lot of rebuilding when things didn't go as planned. With a jet, if you crash (and you probably will) there isn't a whole lot left to fix. The 'cost' is ever-increasing and is definitely expensive. It takes a lot of time, money and skill to get up to the level of the jets and it just keeps getting more expensive as you go. He had an F-16 model with the turbine - think it was 1/12 scale(?) was pretty big. I'd estimate he had about 3-4k in ~1990 dollars in that machine, if not more. After a few months of flying he got some radio interference one day, the throttle kicked up to 100% and it decided to bank into the ground. Nothing left. |
