Person is into firearms. Like a dude wearing a harley shrit that rides.

I once had someone read "Molon Labe" and interpret it as eating the vajayjay. And no I am not kidding.
I automatically think "Watching 300 doesn't make you Greek, buddy."

Well growing up next to the Gonzales County line, it meant Come and Take It.
I actually had a non-gun guy read it off my coffee mug, translate it in his head (you could see him thinking it over and mumbling) and then his eyes lit up and he said "oh, yeah, 'come and take them' the 'hot gates,' Thermopylae ... man what a great piece of history. Hey, I have the original accounting from Herodotus in a text file if you're interested!"
I was a little taken aback. This guy was very, very well educated but nowhere near a gun owner or enthusiast. It was odd, caught me off guard. Hell of a nice guy though. |

For some reason it makes me think of hand lotion. So that's usually what I think when I see it.

Molon labe to me means you can walk over here but you will be limping back. on someone else I ignore it I don't say it or wear it |
I wonder if the guy wearing understands they lost the battle.
I'd lump them with the rest of the tacticool crowd and avoid them.
I'm too low speed/high drag for that stuff. |
Someone who is aware of history.
I used to have two polo shirts with "Molon Labe" embroidered on them. Bought them from the Fuzzy Bunny Machinegun Company (now long gone). |
Quoted: I generally have to preface my explanation of my MOLON LABE shirt asking the individual if they have seen the movie 300 (which they all have), since no one recognized the name of Leonidas or Thermopylae. It actually makes me laugh as i always think:
Talk the talk ...but can you walk the walk? (mostly I think they can't or won't)

It means f*ck you.
I was reading some recent historical articles this being 5 years ago that basically said all translations about "come and take them" have dulled down the meaning to make it "cleaner". |
It would be the same as any other silly cartoon movie tag line tattooed on someone's body. Like "What's up Doc" or Be vewy vewy quiet, we are hunting wabbits" Something like that.

Just curious to know what you would think if you saw someone have a sticker that read Molon Labe, or wore a shirt with it? http://goo.gl/H9XbG I think they would either be really cool or a complete tool |

I always think that somebody took a movie way too seriously.

It means "I'm going to be very upset when the government takes my guns! So upset that I will complain about it on teh interwebz!"
