democrats have been doing this since as long as I have known what politics are.

1.pretend to be conservative to get elected.

2. early in the term completely shaft conservatives in many ways helping to push the progressive agenda.

3.pretend to be conservative again so they can get re-elected.

It's not that the democrats are really being sneaky. It's just that people are fucking retarded . It happens over and over again every fucking time but dumbshits still believe that there is such thing as a conservative democrat.

It's more than that.  When they know they will win some wildly Progressive vote, the Party leadership will allow selected Party comrades to vote against the measure as political kabuki theater for the voters in their district / state.  Pelosi did that during the ObamaCare process.

They let the Party comrades from 'conservative Democrat' districts engage in theatrical grandstanding 'against' the measure, then it passes.

They had to be pro-gun because of the constituents they represent.  It was politically expedient for them to be pro-gun in order to get elected.  Thats also exactly why the Pubs can get back in the game if anything passes.

Democrats are communists and fascists.   That is not compatible with private gun ownership.

How can they be expected to herd people into boxcars and ovens if those people are armed ???

Politician first (lie for a living, only real concern is re-election)
Democrat second (government dependence supports goal #1)

Gun supporter whenever convenient

I don't know the full cause.
1. Is it the Democrat establishment that is pushing them?
2. Do they think this is what the people in their districts want?
3. Do they believe the push and BS coming out of the MSM?

It seems based on the polls and gun sales that not everyone wants a ban.  Even Illinois gun owners managed to stop the push from the Chicago political establishment.  I have no idea what will happen in NY.  I think some of these assholes believe the hype in the media and just want to make a name for themselves and just follow whatever is popular.  I know that for the Dems from Chicago and NY this is what they believe in.  I can’t understand what is happening with the representatives from more red states.

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. Probably not

It's the price the NRA pays for becoming a de facto arm of the Republican Party.  What's the point of Democrats seeking approval from the NRA when all the NRA does is oppose them?

Most will say/do whatever it takes to stay in office. If the prevailing winds favor gun control, that's the way they'll go.

They might even be somewhat pro-2nd, but they know if they piss off their party they won't get any good committe appointments, no one will vote for funding for their districts and the DNC will either not spport them in their net election or possibly even back someone against them.

They will dance with who got them elected. Not who voted for them.

Right on....it's all about THEM and what THEY can get. They don't give a damn about ANYTHING except getting reelected.
And we can't vote them out .They control the courts, they control the media and they control the ballot box.

They don't oppose pro gun democrats.  They are single issue pro-gun.  I would say "nice try", but it wasn't.

Fucking nonsense.  The NRA gave Sen. Harry Reid a full article in the American Rifleman in 2010 - and then gave him a "B" rating after he voted to confirm Sotomayor and Kagan (and this was AFTER Sotomayor had already voted to negate the Second Amendment in Heller).  Former Sen. David Boren (D-OK) is still a sitting member of the NRA Board of Directors.  Max Baucus.  Jon Tester.  Joe Manchin. Heidi Whatshername from ND.  The NRA has given solid support to all kinds of Dems - and what have they gotten in return?

Joe Manchin pulls the white flag out and then drops it when his constituents yell at him.  Reid thanks the NRA by indicating he is in a "different place" on guns now and will probably allow a floor vote in the Senate.  Formerly A-rated Kristen Gilllibrand of NY is now Chuck Schumer's best buddy and leading the call for a ban.  NRA-supported gun-totin Gabby Giffords is the 21st century Sarah Brady.  The Democrats consistently fuck the NRA every chance they get.

They did this in '94 and the repercussions gutted them for a decade.  How short their memories have become.

Boren is on the NRA board of directors?  The hypocritical fuckstick that has been fighting concealed carry on campus for years?  What the hell is the NRA membership thinking?

Never let a good crisis go to waste!

and we know that politicians will tell the sheep what they want to hear, in order to get their vote, and when push comes to shove, their true colors will eventually shine through.

What is funny to me now, in the local newspaper how many reporters are pandering for these pro gun democrats who just want reasonable restrictions.

No, these restrictions are not reasonable. You're not pro gun. These laws would hurt people across the board from being able to buy guns for self defense.

An easy test for those of you who thought about buying something on the NFA. How often have you balked at the months long process and $200 fee. Now imagine that same process for buying a brand new gun. This will be the slow death for us and the law abiding citizen, because criminals don't have to go through that process.
