they suck. You'll hear 20 guys tell you that they got stuff from them okay, but they suck. It's internet roullette, if it's some random crap you don't really need right away and you don't mind calling your credit card company to reverse the charge if they don't ship I guess they might be okay, if you want stuff hassle free and on time forget it, they have a terrible track record.

Placed two orders with them for boots.
First one went great, couldn't have been more pleased. The second time I had to make an exchange for a different size. Spent about three or four days trying to get authorization to send them back. Got authorization, paid for return shipping with a tracking number, and sent the package off. They got the package in about a week. Two weeks after they got it I had not received any communication or a replacement set. So I decided to call them. I called their service number. No answer, left a message. Two days later, called, no answer, left a message. Following day called, no answer, left a message. Few hours later called again, no answer, left a message. Looked again at their contact page, and tried calling their other service number. The person who answered was immediately interested in knowing what government organization I was with, I informed him that I was a retail customer with a problem not a government agency, he confirmed that I was not with a government agency and then slammed the phone down. Called the first service number back, no answer, left a message. About ten minutes later I decided to give them one last chance, called the other number back again, and was hung up on within 10 seconds when they found out I wasn't a government agency calling to give them taxpayer dollars. Went to my bank and disputed the charges, my bank attempted to contact them to get their side of the story, but apparently they never got any return to their calls, and also got hung up on when the company found out they weren't a government agency. TL:DR They WILL take your money. They may or may not send you your merchandise. |

"hey, guys! I heard Botach has a history of unscrupulous activities... I think I'll order from them. "
Several people will post that the company is gtg and that they got their orders with no issues, despite a multitude of stories about arfcommers getting fucked. They will insist the naysayers were in the wrong. OP will advise us that he just placed an order and that for the price, he couldn't resist. OP 'has his fingers crossed' and thanks all of you for your input. Several weeks later, OP advises us that his order hasn't come in and that he is either getting no response or an unsatisfactory response from the sellers. This happens what, once a week? |

I've had 3 orders with them and only 1 went smooth. First I ordered a Glock 17 mag and got it in about 10 days. Next order was a Pelican 1750, they sent the wrong case and it took right at 4 months to get a replacement. My 3rd (and last) order was for some Glock 22 mags that were charged to my CC but my order mysteriously vanished from their system. I had to call my CC company to get my $$$ back.
I'm at that age now where I no longer care to deal with sketchy companies. I'll gladly pay a little more from a company that takes care of it's customers and doesn't play the numbers game. |

I bought a couple GG&G HD QD swivels from them a couple months back at a great price. I believe I got them at $11/ea shipped, now I can't find them under ~$16. I also ordered mags from them before, I have always had good luck with them. They have a chat feature on their site you can use to see if they have anything in stock.
It's a gamble that has paid off for me and saved me money. I do try to avoid them if I can get the product elsewhere for a close price, just in case. |
|
If they have it in stock and they ship it out and noone fucks up on their end they're GTG.
If the wind is blowing the wrong way or they squabble with their kids in the morning you'll find yourself in the 7th circle of hell. Me? I stay away, but lots of folks have had success. And lots of folks would like to meet the owners in a dark alley. |
| I have heard virtually nothing but bad about them since I have been here. I have ordered from them once, actually thru Gunbroker on a item I didn't really need so I figured what the hell. They delivered exactly as they said they would. My father also made one purchase directly from them back in 08 that went without a hitch. So from my sample size of two they have been fine. But it is impossible to ignore the volumes of horror stories you hear about them. Everything taken into account I wouldn't order anything from them that I felt like I had to have. I would (and did) order from them if it was something I didn't really care how long it took or even if I got it AND the price was to good to ignore. |

I believe someone at Botach is starting all these threads, I mean who else would bring them up all the time. There are more threads about them
being good or not than all others combined. Once and for all----THEY SUCK!!! The majority of people who buy from them online get burned. There are way too many quality vendors out there to even consider them. Is saving a few bucks worth all the hassle? If you think so now, you won't after you try to do business with them. Did I mention---THEY SUCK!!!? I hope the building caves in on them, no one hurt, and then all employees realize they're out of a job for good because the scumbag owners were too sorry to have insurance. AAARRRRGGGGHHHH! ......flashback over. |

I post this same statement in every single botach thread.
A) If you order something from them, the site says it is in stock, and it is actually in stock, you'll probably be ok. B) If you order something from them, the site says it is in stock, but it isn't, your next six months will go something like this: 1) You will notice that your credit card was charged at the time of the purchase, but your item hasn't shipped. 2) You will receive an email in about 8 weeks (after multiple inquiries into the status of your order which hasn't arrived) advising your item has been backordered. 3) You will spend the next 3 months trading emails and phone calls, none of which will actually result in your item being shipped. 4) About month 6, you will call and cancel your order, realizing your item will never ship. 5) Months 7-8 will be spent trying to get botach to credit the money that was charged to your card 8 months ago at the time of the order, prior to shipping, back to your account. C) If you order something from them, the site says "not in stock", and it isn't in stock, but you order anyway: 1) see items 1-5 above* They possibly have the worst inventory managment system in the industry. Of course, YMMV. |

I Look them up in the Webster dictionary for you. BOTACH TACTICAL- noun. A business that deceives, cheats, swindles. A business that is lousy with lousy customer service. A business that appears to not even have customer service. A business that says they have items in stock but never really does. A business that will bend you over without using lubrication. verb. slang. to treat unfairly or harshly, to bungle or botch, to act stupidly or carelessly. slang example in sentence. Oh shit....I just woke up after a heavy night of drinking and my ass was sore. Guess I got "botached" after I passed out. |
| I ordered from them a few times early last fall(before the madness) and got my stuff OK, there was onetime I tried to order a couple Glock 19 mags that were supposedly according to there website in stock, well turns out they were not and it took them like 2 days to tell me that..that might be my only complaint, with that said all they guys on here saying they have had terrible luck with them..there has to be something to it, you dont have that many complaints and there not be something to it. |
|
Holy crap.
After all these years of Botach Tactical threads, we really need some kind of permanent update thread thingy with sub sections for Botach, CTD, M4 Feed Ramps, Steel Cased Ammo, and all the other stuff that is Ground Hog Day over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over................................. |

This is on Botach's website. Keep in mind they had a horrible reputation before the panic:
Urgent Message: Due to the current market situation and overwhelming demand for specialty products, we are experiencing delays in shipping, responding to emails & phone calls. We are working as fast as possible to remedy this situation. Thank you very much for your understanding. |
| When I purchased a Aimpoint 3x from them. I asked to speak to the manager. I told him I am a member of several gun forums, and I seen tons of bad reviews. I told him I was not sure I wanted to do business with them. He told me the item was in stock. I took a chance, and ordered it. I got a email from him the next day with tracking info. I think he only did it to get a good review out of me. I think I was one of the rare ones. I am not sure I will ever purchase something from them again. |

My one order with them went through fine
