It's an imaginary "disorder" that is most commonly used by prescription painkiller addicts to keep the candy coming. What's the matter? Did your wheel bearings seize? I'm neither delusional nor a drug user.
ETA: For the fucking record, I"ve been in pain for years, more in the last 2 than ever - constant, chronic pain - and I NEVER once asked for a narcotic script, nor was one offered, as the doctors I chose to go to feel the same way as I do - they want to treat the cause & not the symptoms. <knock off the personal attacks, please> |

I don't claim to know, but my wife (who used to be a nurse at an inner city hospital) said the same thing. My wife is a nurse, and has been for 20 years, that's her opinion of fibromyalgia. It is a made up word to explain any incurable pain of indeterminate origin. It is not a "thing" but a "catch-all" for things we don't know. Most of the people who claim it are seeking drugs. That makes it difficult for anyone who has real pain with an unknown cause.

Are you whiny? If not then you can probably rule out fibromyalgia. there is a personality type that goes along with the diagnosis.
