Anybody watch it? There was a marathon on last night and I caught all of season 2. I find it hilarious. Thought it was much better then season 1. I live in a very liberal/hippy town so I can relate to it and I probably find it funnier then most but there's gotta be some other fans on here. I think it may be on Netflix.

Saw a few episodes and didn't really get into it.  I was kinda bummed cause it looked good.

Maybe if I lived around those types I'd kinda get it more.

If you hadn't been there you might mistake it for fiction. The dream of the 90's is alive in Portland...

Great song. What's even better though is they did an episode where they make a song about the 1890's. Wish I knew how to embed on this site.

There is no need for acting in this series.

Portland is an idiotic cesspool of liberalism that reeks across the Willamette like an open sewer.

I like it and find it funny even though I have never been to Portland.

it is a documentary the one where they go out to breakfast and waiting in line is an all day thing...the feminist book store is classic as well actuall footage sometimes, like the one where the girl goes in there to get books for her class and they wont let her look for them on her own--no no we need to help you--classic Portland..

For all its silliness though I sometimes prefer P town over Seattle, it has better infrastructure and the food is incredible...but I cant say much for the people

As a comedy, it's quite funny. As a documentary, it's 100% accurate.

I wonder if hip Washingtonians consider Carrie Brownstein to be a traitor, considering her involvement with the whole "riot grrrl" music scene in mid-90s Washington.  A lot of their skits do seem to mock the very types of people that built her career.

In any case, the show is hit-or-miss for me.  That is the same for most sketch shows, though.

The trick is live in Vancouver, WA (no state income tax, lower property tax) and shop in Portland (no sales tax).

I lived there for 10 years. Fuck that liberal shit hole! I've never seen a bigger bunch of people, so intent on going backwards in life. Think urban boundary expansion, in the late 90's. Fucking idiots!

I live in Portland. The show is slightly exaggerated reality. That being said, I helped someone from the first episode with their first AR.

I've been waiting for this thread....

I can't get past Fred Armisen... not a huge fan of him much in SNL so I can't imagine he'd do much for me in this show.

So it's nothing but a ripping parody of the city of Portland and how retarded everyone is there?

Are he and the chick supposed to play multiple characters in the show? Every time I see a commercial they look different.

At least you can own NFA stuff in Portland.
Not that they would ever do an episode on it.

I lived there for a month, got to see riot police in action for the first time against the fascism of....Bill Clinton in 2000.

I had never seen riot police in my life with my own eyes before I lived in Portland.

watched the first 3 episodes there were some funny bits here and there but for the most part found it terrible

I was kinda bummed as I enjoyed the first episode I saw
