How come there's is no talk of reenacting the prohibition days?

Since banning things works so well we should ban alcohol since it contributes to so many different kinds of deaths.

We could cut down on the population in a few years without all the alcohol induced pregnancies and the number of people that would be killed by bathtub gin.

I drink 2 or 3 times a year and couldn't care less if we have alcohol in this country or not.

I love a good beer or 4 after long day.  I also love bourbon and scotch.  I don't think anyone will ever ban alcohol again though.  I'm confused with why it isn't in the conversation though because if I'm not mistaken alcohol kills more people than guns do.  I mean if we're going to be real about stopping death, alcohol and mcdonalds are way above guns.  Someone needs to mention that to Obama and watch him squirm.

I support this.
Fuck all the ethanol-head-paul-bots who only whine about 'liberty' when talking about their precious libations.
Bunch of immoral douche bags, only care about chasing pleasure.
We are part of a society, so you fucks have to grow up.

Excessive use of alchohol is related to 80,000 deaths a year in the us. Sounds like alcohol is a little bit more dangerous than an ar-15

Then there are heart attacks and obesity from shit food.  I think Obama should ban them as well.  If you're going to ban one thing you have to ban it all.  There should be an official dare.

Yeah that's my whole point. If some looks at all the data, and is not a complete moron they can see that guns are not the problem. He'll more kids die drowning than by semi automatic rifles in a year. If elected officials actually gave 2 shits about the children they say they do. They would make it nearly impossible to get a spa, pool or go swimming.

Drunk drivers kill over 200 children per year.  There is no need for alcohol over 2% because no one needs to get drunk.  Why must the nation pay for your desire of alcohol with the lives of children?

I don't support that argument but it is an excellent response to an anti-gunner that says "no one needs a 30 round clip".  Most liberals seem to love hitting the bottle.  So that response is a great way to flip the tables on them because something they enjoy kills more children than school shootings.

I think it's a great example to use because its the person not the inanimate object doing the harm.

They the lib will say, but alcoholism is a disease and that person needs help. Then, it's checkmate because you can say only mentally ill kill other people for no reason and its a mental health issue not a gun issue.

With just apple juice (without preservatives), brown sugar, montrachet yeast, a rubber stopper, an airlock, and a three gallon carbuoy I can make enough alcohol to personally last me for a year, and with no one the wiser.

As stupid as the idea is, I could honestly care less. Lots of people would be out of a job, and that's what would bother me more than anything. Alcohol is just as bad if not worse than most illegal drugs, it Just happens to be accepted where weed etc. is not.
It didn't work before and would certainly not work now.

Just need to license apple users, and have random inspections and blood tests.
Otherwise, they might go out in public and infringe on other peoples rights

There we go.  That too.  If they are serious about this then they need to consider all of these approaches.  People don't care what impacts other people if it doesn't apply to them.  Apply it to everyone and people will whine and cry like babies.
