| Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan is on SciFi right now. |

Spock's death scene and funeral tore me up. I've never had a stronger reaction to the death of a fictional character.
Kirk: Spock! Spock: Ship... out of danger? Kirk: Yes. Spock: Don't grieve, Admiral. It is logical. The needs of the many outweigh... Kirk: ...the needs of the few... Spock: ...Or the one. I never took the Kobayashi Maru test until now. What do you think of my solution? Kirk: Spock... Spock: I have been and always shall be your friend. [Holds up his hand in the Vulcan salute] Spock: Live long and prosper. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhcR-w-56tA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtQUePN5y40 |

Just watched the motion picture (1979) for the first time, and holy shit that movie is the most drawn out snooze fest I have ever witnessed. I feel like it was made for stoners to sit and watch the pretty graphics like they were in a planetarium. that is the big critique of ST1 roddenberry was removed form creative control Of ST after TMP. for ST2 he is listed as "executive Consultant" I love ST1, But I love all ST....... |

I feel like it was made for stoners to sit and watch the pretty graphics like they were in a planetarium. It was a good story, but the pacing was terrible. They tried to make it like 2001, I think. Star Trek: The Montionless Picture or Star Trek: The Slow-Motion Picture are my favorite names for it. I still like it, but only if I can fast-forward through the slowest stretches. |
