I heard about a gun buyback today,  I had a few junk pistols that while they appear to be functional are just cheap, worn out, beat up junk.

I got $200 a piece for them.

Used the money to buy ammo.

It was interesting to see the offficer who is their "weapons expert" point a semi auto ( that he has never seen before and knows nothing about and was brought in by some random guy) at another cop sitting next to him as he tried to clear it.

Eta: the table that had the guns on it was loaded with junk, BB guns, air soft and single shot 22s. The ARs I saw we're BB guns. The guy in front of me turned in a blank firing starter pistol...lol.

A youth shooting group collected a bunch of beaters and rusters from local residents and drove them to Chicago to participate in one of the famed "buybacks". They used the funds to support youth shooting and firearms education programs.

No, on the principle that I don't want them in the hands of the grabbers and used to propagandize their goals.

Would I buckle if the price was right?  Yes, and that price would completely disable the left.

I have a junker BB gun that doesn't even work that I would try to turn in to get cash if they did one here.

If they're offering $200 each, I'd go clean out PSA of their $40 polymer lowers they had and flip them for $160 each.

Then go buy some nice guns.

If they're willing to pay $200 for airsoft or BB guns, yeah, I could easily bring myself to reclaim some of my tax money...

I don't trust the government with my guns.

I'll disable them myself, by placing them downrange from my Mosin Nagant.

Ha !, I turned in a blank gun once...then walked the line with better cash offers.
Capitalist that I am...

yes, for $200 I'd let them buy my starter pistol, broken air rifle, and super soaker.

No I would never use one. No gun is worth 200 dollars. Also if I had a surplus of cheap guns I would stash them around my house. I've been working on getting a gun in every room for awhile now.

The program paid $75 for rifles, $200 for pistols, $400 for "assault weapons"

Not sure what they classified the BB guns and stuff as or how much they paid.

I got rid of a few cheap pistols that I had bought for $50 ( for all of them)

I was not going to spend any money fixing those guns, and I could never sell them ( broken safety, broken trigger, rusty, loose out of time cylinder, bent barrel, broken barrel link, broken recoil spring)

Don't forget to glue an M4 stock to your hi-point to get your $400

Gun buy backs are a great way for criminals to get rid of their dirty and stolen guns.

Would I sell 4 $50 revolvers for $800?   Yes, I would.

That would buy at least one AR15.  Thanks, libtards!

If I had a non-functional firearm, I would trade it for funds to buy a working gun.
Aside from that, probably not.

I got $75 for a non functional iver Johnson I bought for $2. The cylinder would just spin and sometimes it would not lock the hammer back .homemade grips and very rough.

I've got literally a box of probably 50 RG-22 revolvers which are worth about $15-$25 each. If buybacks get to where they really pay out I might. Never lived anywhere near one however.
