I know that I am ngoing to get 'flamed' over this but......
What happened at Netwon was a VERY sad event for the families and for the people of the Great Nation!  However, the weapon was a 'tool' and the real killer was the person.  While I do not have any figures, I would be willing to bet that there are more children kiiled each year in vehicle accidents then with firearms.  Is there a 'movement' to band vehicles?  No, there are ways to attempt to make them safer but not to band them.  What about the 'high' horse power vehicle, do we REALLY need vehicles with 300 or more horsepower?   What about the person that steals a vehicle and then kills people on the road with it?  Is the auto industry held to 'task' for this?  What about the bombing in OK, that killed lots of people?  If a person is intent to do damage they will find away to do that.  The weapon that was used in Newton, was 'stolen' from the owner after that owner was killed.
While growing up, we were taught 'life coping skills', that seem to be missing today.  We were taught that some one will always have more them you, that you will not always be 'first' and that you need to work for what you have.  The United States that was once GREAT has changed and not for the better.  I think that we need to look at what we have lost and see how we can get it back.

Most Americans are to naive to realize that they are at risk of losing anything, let alone lost anything.
