eventually something broke, and since i was a new sub they dispatched out for free.

now a month later its broke again (different problem this time) and they want to charge 50 for a dispatch.  this is for THEIR equioment thati am LEASING.

if i had bought the equipment i guess i could understand.

im just getting screwed here being their beta test customer.  wtf

what to do?  give in?  then another $50 again in a few monthw when it breaks again???

You just now figuring out they suck?

Whenever I'm approached by someone selling direct tv I start laughing in their face and walk away while still looking at them laughing. Really fucks with their heads.

Every year I know people who call and complain about the price of the NFL package. Every year they get a discount from direct TV. When Direct TV had that problem with Fox last year I received three free months because I missed a playoff Football game.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease with direct TV.

you may be on to something.

Just a couple months ago, I called T-Mobile (whose service is spectacular where I live, including barrier islands) and asked them "when in my contract over?"

Holy Fucking Shit!

I got transferred to a person who wanted to know what they could do to keep me as a customer and etc.  Mind you, my contract was no where near "up".  They knocked $50 a month off my bill without any extension of contract for the asking.

I guess I will be checking in with DTV in the morning.

I had too many issues with them. Dropped them after the mandated period and will never look back.

Do you have any extras? Ask to move to a less expensive package. Every time I have had an issue they have fixed it or given me some credit.

Disclaimer: I am a business customer and spent over $10,000 during each of the last 8 years with Direct TV. Remember for business customers Direct TV charges per seat. MMA fights can cost over $3000.
