They're awesome. They got started after one of the members was playing a gig with his former band and his car was broken into and all his music gear was stolen. All he had was a guitar. They kinda remind of that line in "Walk the Line": "we'd play faster if we could."

Their first 2 albums are markedly different than "Lightning From the North." I think they lost Jayke Orvis the mandolin player before the third album. But all 3 albums are great. But the first 2 are darker and have a more raw edge. Been one of my favorite bands for a few years now. |
