Lately I've been kinda down as December is a hard month for me (lost two friends whose names are in my SigLine).  Anyways, as I was driving in Fort Worth today traffic was all snarled up and I was getting pissed off.  When I get up tithe intersection, I noticed several Marines in their Service Dress Blues that were collecting Toys for Tots donations.  I decided I was going to do something good.  So I stopped by Academy Sports and bought two kids bikes for $200.  I figured if an unemployed, Service Connected Veteran could make two kids smile on Christmas, then that would cheer me up.

It felt good dropping off the bikes.  I'd rather some kids have a good Christmas than to spend what little cash I have on myself.

Don't tell the people in the anti charity thread, but I think you did great.  The world could use more people like you.

Good on you, brother!

I'm retired Navy, and every year my wife and I spend several hundred on Toys for Tots. We feel that no kid should go without a toy at Christmas.
It always makes us feel good to donate to them.

Cheers!

You rock! I'm not much of a believer in Karma, but you just earned some good Karma if that shit exists.
